My friend Charlie also runs the CO2 cannons that they use and he took his fisheye lens and camera along and took some amazing shots!
There were some amazing DJs on, I was kinda annoyed that I couldn't join in.
BY DAY: SETH TROXLER, MAYA JANE COLES, KERRI CHANDLER, GUY GERBER, DAVIDE SQUILLACE, MARK LOWRY
BY NIGHT: JOHN DIGWEED, JORIS VOORN, SCOTT BRADFORD, NEIL BAINBRIDGE
I turned up at 7pm to help out and it was absolutely manic. We had to shut one half of the bar and open it up the other side, ready for when people moved over the the warehouse. Then, when everyone was finally cleared from the day area we had to clear up all the mess... it took us from 11pm until 4am to do it. There were glass bottles, plastic/paper cups and just MESS everywhere! Oli was feeling really unwell and had been working hard all day so he left at 1am and I worked the night shift with Charlie (our boss) who's birthday it was! Bless him, what a horrible shift to work on your birthday....
Finally the music stopped at 4am and we had a little chill out whilst all the remaining people left and then got to work again. We had to pack away all the stock from the internal and external bars, clear the warehouse inside, ferry the binbags and mess from the day area to the night area skip (as we'd already filled the day one...!), clear the cloakroom, clear the night outside area and just generally pack everything away. It was even harder than expected too as two of the staff got really drunk and Charlie had to relieve them at about 3am, meaning that we were down two people. Finally, at about 5.30am we had everything clean and could go home...
These photos were taken just as we were leaving:
I finally got back at 6am as Emily drove me, Charlie and Phoebe home, and after a quick shower I collapsed into bed. It took me ages to fall asleep though as I had been running off adrenaline and I woke up at 2pm the next day still feeling awful. Oh well, lots of money coming my way soon!
