Shindig W34/018

I worked at Shindig W34 last night where Loco Dice was playing. Poppy, Georgia, Dunny, Phoebe and Sharples came to work with me and Oli. We began work at 9 and it was already freeeeezing. Phoebe, Sharples and Dunny were on the internal bar, Poppy and Georgia were on external, I did the cloakroom and Oli ran the stock.

The set up there is so basic but it works so well. It’s just a huge warehouse with a massive sound-system and light show at one end and a larger internal bar and an external trailer bar outside. Inside the atmosphere is amazing. It wasn’t too bad a shift, the cold was the worst bit and I honestly hung up over 600 coats which became so repetitive. Had so much stuff handed in this time, two wallets, a phone, about seven bank cards and a camera. One of the wallets belongs to a guy at Newcastle so I’ve brought it home with me and emailed him on his uni email to tell him I’ve got it. Good samaritan!

Some friends of mine came to the event too so when it was quiet I could chat to them which was nice. Finished the shift at 5am and hurried home to catch up on some sleep. So exhausted! I’m becoming nocturnal….
